Electricity consumption increased by 13.8% during January to August

According to the statistics of National Energy Bureau, the electricity consumption rose by 3.6% y-o-y to 760.7bn kWh in August 2021, 10.7bn kWh in primary industry, 485.1bn kWh in secondary industry and 140bn kWh in tertiary industry, and 124.9bn kWh in urban and rural residents living, up by 13.7%, 0.6%, 6.2% and 12.5% y-o-y separately.

During January to August, electricity consumption increased by 13.8% y-o-y to 5.4704 trillion kWh, 66bn kWh in primary industry, 3.6529 trillion kWh in secondary industry and 953.3bn kWh in tertiary industry, and 798.2bn kWh in urban and rural residents living, up by 19.3%, 13.1%, 21.9%, and 7.5% separately.
