Auto output and sales decreased by 16.5% and 12.4% y-o-y in June

According to the report of China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, China produced 1.943M units and sold 2.015m units of autos in June 2021, down by 4.8% and 5.3% m-o-m, down by 16.5% and 12.4% y-o-y respectively. During January-June, the total output was 12.569M units and sales was 12.891m units, up by 24.2% and 25.6%.

Passenger cars’ output and sales were 1.555M and 1.569M units in June, down by 3.8% and 4.7% m-o-m, down by 13.7% and 11.1% y-o-y. The total output and sales during January-June were 9.84M units and 10.007M units, up by 26.8% and 27% y-o-y.

The output and sales of commercial vehicle were 388,000 and 446,000 units in June, down by 8.3% and 7.4% m-o-m, and down by 26.3% and 16.8% y-o-y. The total output and sales during January-June were 2.73M units and 2.884m units, up by 47% and 47.3% y-o-y.

The output and sales of new energy autos were 248,000 and 256,000 units in June, up by 134.9% and 139.3% y-o-y. The total output and sales of new energy auto were 1.215M and 1.206M units during January-June, up by 200.6% and 201.5%.
